Dr Navneet
Kaur is a Professor of Surgery at University
college of Medical Sciences and GTB Hospital, University of Delhi,
Delhi. She completed her surgical residency in 1995 and since then has
been working as a faculty member for the last 26 years. She is a
General surgeon with sub-specialization in surgery of the breast. She
is a fellow of “International Union against Cancer” and member of
“Breast Surgery International”. She underwent a special training in
“New techniques in breast reconstruction” at European Institute of Oncology,
Milan, Italy on a UICC fellowship and is proficient in various
oncologic, oncoplastic and reconstructive
surgeries of the breast. Upon her return she pioneered “Oncoplastic breast surgery” in India. She has over
100 publications in various national and international journals and has
also presented over 30 research papers at various conferences, in
addition to being invited for guest lectures and to chair sessions. She
has published many research papers on Epidemiological, clinical and
surgical aspects of breast cancer. “Survivorship care” in breast cancer
is her area of research interest and she is convener of “ Delhi breast cancer survivorship initiative”. She
is a founder member and currently executive committee member of
Association of breast surgeons of India (ABSI). Her other interest
areas are Medical education technology and Healthcare management. She
is a fellow of CMCL-FAIMER (Foundation for advancement in International
medical education and research) and also has a diploma in Hospital and healthcare
management.
