Dr. Vinita Rathi, Director Professor in the Deptt. of Radio diagnosis,
UCMS GTB Hospital for the past twenty one years. I completed my MBBS in
1986 from Lady Hardinge Medical College and
MD Radio diagnosis in 1991 from Safdarjang
Hospital, both affiliated to Delhi University. I was awarded Diplomate of National
Board in Radiology in 1992. I completed my tenure of Senior
Residency from Kalawati saran Children’s
Hospital and Smt. Sucheta Kripalani
Hospital affiliated to LHMC, New Delhi and Safdarjang
Hospital, ND. Following this I was appointed Lecturer in UCMS in 1996. I shifted thereafter to Allahabad
where I worked as a Senior Research Associate in Radio diagnosis at
Moti Lal Nehru Medical College for almost 3 years. In 1999 I returned
to Delhi and joined my appointment as Assistant Professor in GTB
Hospital and have been continuing here till date. During my stay here I
have also looked after Deptt. of Radio-diagnosis
at the paediatric hospital, Chacha Nehru
Bal Chikitsalya,
affiliated to LNJP Hospital, GNCT Delhi for a period of one and half
years. I have received the KM
Rai Memorial Oration awarded by the Indian Radiological Imaging Association, a few
years ago. I have written approximately 15 chapters in books for radiology,
Radiography and, Obstetrics and Gynae post
graduate students. I have about thirty five publications in indexed
journals, including international and national ones. My areas of
interest are paediatric radiology and Chest Sonography
; and interacting with clinical colleagues of all departments
regarding role of imaging in various clinical settings.
