 Dr Sajeev Ambalayam is currently serving as Assistant Professor of
Physiology at the University College of Medical Sciences & GTB
Hospital, Delhi. He has received doctoral degree in Physiology from AIIMS,
New Delhi and has more than 11 years of experience in teaching
Physiology for Medical, Dental,
Nursing and paramedical students in Delhi, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. He
has got University 3rd rank in Masters
Degree and has many awards to his credit. He received ICMR senior research
fellowship in 2013. He has also worked as Associate professor in
Physiology, North Delhi Municipal Corporation Medical College, Delhi for two and half years. He is a passionate
teacher with an inclination towards research. He is interested in the
field of neurophysiology and got training from Germany in recording
field potentials from the rodent brain. He has attended CISP workshop
and revised basic workshop for improving the new CBME curriculum.
In his previous institution, he was an
integral part in the setting up of the central research laboratory and the
institutional committees/subcommittees for the implementation of CBME
curriculum as per NMC norms. He has attended many conferences and published
research papers in various national and international journals. He is also
serving as a member of institutional IQAC committee. In addition he is an
examiner for under graduates in Physiology.
