Dr Tripti Nakra joined University
College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) as Assistant Professor in Department
of Pathology in 2021. She did MBBS from Lady Hardinge
Medical College, New Delhi in 2006 and MD Pathology from All India
Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in 2012. She completed
Senior residency in 2016 and worked as Senior Research Associate (Pool
officer) in the same institute for 1.5 years. For her commendable
efforts she was awarded with Dr N.C. Nayak
Medal in Pathology for the best Senior Resident for the year 2018. During
this period she gained professional, teaching and research experience
in histopathology and cytopathology and has worked in different subspecialities of surgical pathology. She published 28
research papers, including original studies and case reports and was
also awarded Dr Satya Monga Award for best
published paper. Her main research work was is in the field of cardiothoracic,
gastrointestinal pathology and cytopathology. Apart from that she was trained in various techniques like IHC, FISH,
immunofluorescence, electron microscopy as well. She is a skilled, dedicated pathologist with a keen eye for
details. She had been actively involved in teaching undergraduate and
postgraduate students. She has also been entrusted with administrative
functions, has performed diligently and is highly committed towards
departmental work. Her devotion towards academic and research work has
been exemplary and will contribute towards the success of the institute.
