Dr.
Poonam Rani is
currently working as assistant professor in department of Pathology,
university college of Medical sciences (UCMS), joined in April 2021. She did her graduation (MBBS)
from University college of medical sciences during 2004-2009 and
finished her post graduation in pathology
from Maulana Azad Medical College during
2010-2013. Senior residency was also accomplished from Maulana Azad Medical college. She gained interest
in hematology during her residency while
working under supervision of an esteemed hematopathologist.
Later on, she did post doctoral certificate
course in hematopathology. Due to her interest
in teaching and learning, she joined Dr. Baba
Saheb Ambedkar
medical college as a demonstrator and worked there for more than 2
years. There she participated in competency Based medical education
(CBME) curriculum for undergraduates and contributed in making learning
objectives. Understanding the need of quality assurance in laboratories
and to acquire knowledge, she participated in various quality assurance
course programs. She has interest in academic as well as research
activities equivalent to diagnostic pathology. She has 15 research publications
including original articles, case series and reports in
indexed and non indexed journals.
