 Dr Kaniyappan
Nambiyar joined UCMS in May 2021. Prior to
this he had been working as an assistant professor at National Cancer
Institute-Jhajjar, AIIMS, New
Delhi. He was trained in Pathology at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of
Medical Sciences & Dr RML Hospital in New Delhi and later completed
a super-speciality DM degree in Histopathology at Postgraduate
Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh. At the end
of his super-speciality training, he was also placed as an observer at
The Christie – School of Oncology in Manchester, United Kingdom. After
this, he worked as assistant professor for a short period of time in
the same institute where he got trained in Pathology.
