Prof.
(Dr) Manish Narang (MBBS, MD) completed his
undergraduate studies from University College of Medical Sciences
(UCMS) and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTBH),
Delhi. He pursued his postgraduate studies in Pediatrics
and senior residency from UCMS & GTB Hospital followed by
fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology from
Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical
Education & Research, Delhi.
He has to his credit
several publications in various journals of international repute and
has contributed many chapters in different textbooks in Pediatrics. His areas of interest include celiac
disease, liver abscess and infantile colic. A past president and vice
president, Residents Doctors Association, UCMS & GTBH and he is
present President, UCMS Alumni Association 2020-21. His book entitled “Approach to
Practical Pediatrics” is very popular in
India for MBBS undergraduates and MD postgraduates’ students. He has conducted several clinical
trials in the field of vaccines, celiac disease, liver abscess, malaria
and infantile colic.
He is Editor-in-Chief,
Journal of Case Reports (www.casereports.in)
and a member of prestigious Delhi Medical Council. He is also Warden,
Boys Hostel and is a member of several committees of UCMS & GTBH. He
is currently Professor in Department of Pediatrics,
UCMS & GTB Hospital, Delhi.
