DHEERAJ SHAH
Dr Dheeraj Shah MD, MNAMS, FIAP is
currently serving as Director-Professor in the Department of Pediatrics,
University College of Medical Sciences (University of Delhi) &
associated GTB Hospital, Delhi. He has also served as the Editor-in-Chief
of ‘Indian Pediatrics’ – the official indexed journal of the Indian
Academy of Pediatrics. He has
been honored with a Visiting fellowship by Royal College of Pediatrics
and Child Health (RCPCH), London; and Fellowship of Indian Academy of
Pediatrics (FIAP). Dr Dheeraj
Shah has immense interest in teaching and training principles of
research, thesis writing and biomedical ethics. He has organized and
conducted several workshops on thesis protocol writing, thesis writing,
research methodology and scientific paper writing throughout India. He
is also the co-editor of a book on ‘How to Write the Thesis and Thesis Protocol’
published in 2020. Besides training in research, Dr
Dheeraj himself is an avid researcher with
main research areas as Child Health, Diarrheal diseases,
Malnutrition, Public Health, and Pediatric Gastroenterology and
Nutrition. He has written over
130 papers in Medline-indexed internationally reputed journals and over
40 chapters in various textbooks, including Nelson’s Textbook of
Pediatrics, besides authoring five books. He is in the reviewer board
of highly reputed medical journals, including Lancet, Lancet Global
Health, BMJ, BMJ Global Health, Journal of Pediatrics, and BMC group of
journals. He is member of Technical/Scientific Advisory Group of
various committees of ICMR, FSSAI, National Institute of Nutrition, and
Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology,
Government of India.
