 Text Box:  Dr.Deepika Harit is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics           

at University College of Medical Sciences and Guru Teg

Bahadur Hospital, Delhi. She received her MBBS degree

 from Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi  and thereafter, completed her pediatric residency training at University College of Medical Sciences and GTB Hospital, Delhi. She has been in a faculty position for last 10 years. Dr. Harit is a regional trainer of IAP-NNF Neonatal Resuscitation program and a  National trainer of treatment of Childhood Tuberculosis (IAP & RNTCP). She also holds a Diabetes Certification by BMJ, Royal College of Physicians, London and Fortis C-Doc, Delhi. She is a university recognized MD thesis supervisor and she has supervised many undergraduate research projects and MD theses. Both UG and PG students have won many awards at the various national conferences and other platforms under her guidance. She has been actively involved in the research and publication activities. Her special interest areas are Pediatric Endocrine, Metabolism and Diabetes.  She was a member of the committee for Indian academy of Pediatrics guidelines for parents for Care of a Child with Diabetes Mellitus 2020. She had authored numerous publications in reputed international and national journals and had also written chapters in various books. She had presented many papers in various international and national conferences. She received prestigious James Flett Endowment award (Gold Medal) for best research paper at the 56th National conference of Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Pedicon , February 2019. She has also been serving as reviewer for Indian Pediatrics.
