Dr. Chander
Grover is currently working as Professor, Dermatology and STD at University College of
Medical sciences. She completed her MBBS and MD (Dermatology,
Venereology and Leprology) from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi with honors,
earning various medals. She joined UCMS in 2009 and has over 12 years
of experience as Dermatology faculty. She is a recognized Supervisor
for PG Thesis and Examiner in the field of Dermatology.
Her areas of interest include Nail Disorders, Dermatoscopy, Dermatosurgery,
Pediatric Dermatology and Medical Education. She has over 130 Pubmed indexed research publications in various reputed
journals, in addition to >50 non-indexed publications. She has also
edited/ authored 6 books including the ‘TEXTBOOK OF ONYCHOLOGY” and
“NAIL THERAPIES’. She has also authored >35 chapters in other books.
Dr Grover is the recipient of several Awards
and Honors including the Prestigious BM Ambady Oration conferred by
the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists
and; Leprologists (IADVL) in the year 2018, for her extensive work in
the field of Nail disorders. She also received the VN Sehgal Award (2021), Best Young Dermatosurgeon Award
(2019), Best Young Dermatologist Award (2002)
in addition to several other awards. Dr
Grover is the Founder Secretary of Nail
Society of India, the largest and only the third of its kind
National Society devoted towards research in a niche topic like Nail
Disorders. She continues to serve the organization for the past 9
years. She is also an Audit Committee Member of International Nail Society since its inception in 2019. She
has worked towards organizing Annual ONYCHOCONs (National Conference of Nail Society of India)
apart from being the Organizing Secretary for the 3rd International Summit on Nail Diseases (ISND)
at Delhi. She has also served IADVL in various positions including
Special Interest Group (SIG)-Dermatosurgery
and Member, IADVL Academy. She has served in Editorial capacity for
various peer-reviewed journals including IJDVL (Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology) since 2012; apart from being on
Editorial Boards of Skin
Appendage Disorders, Indian
Journal of Medical Specialties, Indian Dermatology Online Journal and Indian Journal of STD and AIDS.
She is also Faculty Advisor for literary activities and Member, Medical
Education Unit of UCMS.
