 Dr Rajarshi
Kar is working as a Professor in Department
of Biochemistry, University College of medical sciences. He joined as a
faculty on dec 2009 in this institute. He has
done his MBBS from R G Kar Medical College, Kolkata,
and MD Biochemistry for AIIMS, New Delhi. He is a dedicated teacher and
has introduced newer methods in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
in which he is extensively trained. He has also written various book chapters which have been
appreciated by eminent personnel in the field. He is an ardent
and meticulous researcher, and his primary focus is on developing
patient tailored therapy for ovarian cancer patients. His expertise is in the field of
molecular biology, cell culture and environmental studies. He has
numerous publications in indexed international and national journals
with high impact factor. He is an active member of various
international and national academic bodies, like AACR, AMBI, ISAR. He has received international awards for his
research work from AACR and Center for
Cancer Research (CCR) of the U.S. National Cancer Institute. He is also member
secretary of Research Cell and Medical Research Unit of UCMS.
