 Dr Mohit Mehndiratta is
working with this institute since 2009. He has done graduation (MBBS)
from GSVM Medical College Kanpur and post graduation
(MD) in Biochemistry from All India Institute of Medical Sciences
(AIIMS), New Delhi. He did pioneering work on siRNA mediated
transcriptional gene silencing (TGS) in glioma cells lines. He has done
Senior Residency from (AIIMS), New Delhi (2006-2009). He has worked as
Assistant Professor in Lady Hardinge Medical College,
New Delhi in 2009 for a brief time and then joined University College
of Medical Sciences (UCMS) in December 2009. He was promoted as
Associate Professor in 2011 and as Professor in 2005. During his
tenure, he has supervised several MD thesis and has completed many
projects (as PI/CoPI, both intramural as well
as extramural projects). His research interests are RNA interference,
Cancer Biology, Diabetes mellitus, Preterm birth, Nutrition and Medical
Education. He has presented his research work in several
international and national conferences. He has published more
than fifty research articles in internal and national Journals. He is a
member of Medical Education Unit of UCMS as well as several other
committees of this institute.
