 Prof. Dinesh Puri has
done is MBBS, MD and Ph.D. from University College of Medical Sciences,
Delhi. He is currently serving as Director Professor and Head,
Department of Biochemistry and has been a part of this Institute since
1990. He is a teacher par excellence and is very popular amongst
students. He has introduced several innovative teaching methods and has
been striving continuously for improving the standard of medical
education. His books on Biochemistry are widely followed by MBBS
undergraduate, post-graduate, dental and nursing students. His research
interest includes Medical Education, metabolic disorders, and plant products.
He is a lifetime member of various academic associations like, Association
of Medical Biochemists of India, Association of Clinical Biochemists of
India and Indian Society of Atherosclerosis Research and has held
various administrative posts in the same. He has authored several books
and written book chapters which are highly revered by all in the field of
biochemistry. He has numerous publications in indexed international and
national journals of repute. He has received various prestigious awards
for his research from AMBI, ACBI and INSA. He is also the Coordinator
of Equal Opportunity Cell, UCMS and has worked tirelessly in this field
for the upliftment of all.
