Dr. Ashok Kumar Ahirwar
has completed MBBS from GMC, Bhopal (MP) in 2011, MD in Biochemistry
from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi
in 2014, DNB in 2017 and Senior Residency from Department of
Biochemistry, AIIMS, New Delhi in 2017. He has
worked as Associate Consultant in the Department of Biochemistry, Sir
Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi from 2017 to 2018 and Assistant
Professor, Department of Biochemistry, AIIMS, Nagpur from 2018 to 2021.
He is currently working as Assistant Professor, in the Department of
Biochemistry, UCMS, New Delhi. His current area of research is Insulin
Resistance and Endothelial dysfunction in Metabolic Syndrome, Diabetes
Mellitus and obesity associated co-morbidities and adipokines
profile of adipocytes in obesity. He is also working on the field of
Endocrinology to study the effect of Thyroid hormones (T3, T4, TSH) on Insulin resistance and adipokines
profile in obesity. He has worked on carbon mono-oxide (CO) signaling on trophoblast invasion in humans under
the guidance of Dr. Subhradip
Karmakar, Associate Professor, Department of
Biochemistry, AIIMS, New Delhi. He has got
ICMR MD/MS thesis grant. He has won the best poster award in AMBICON,
Bhubaneswar 2012 & in ISARCON 2019 at LHMC, New Delhi. He has won
quiz competition at DC-ISARCON, 2015 at LHMC, New Delhi. He has
published his research work at various national and international
indexed journals. He has presented his research in various national and
international conferences. He is actively involved in total quality
management (TQM) of clinical biochemistry laboratory and quality
teaching to undergraduate and post graduate students.
