UCMS Prevention of Caste Based Discrimination in HEI

  • As per University Grant Commission {DOF No. 1-7/ 2011 (SCT)}, All officials/faculty members should desist from any act of discrimination against SC/ST/OBC students and staff on grounds of their social origin. They should be more sensitive while dealing with incidents of caste discrimination.

  • Any act of communal slur/caste based violence/harassment & torture of any kind will be considered as a serious offence and the accused will be penalized as per SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act 1989.
