2003

Medicomasti, the youth festival at the Perfect Health Mela organised by the Heart Care Foundation of India and MTNL was organised and presented by the students. Ripple ’03, organised by Pramit, the Cultural Secretary, was held partly in the college campus and partly at Pragati Maidan where the fashion show and celebrity night were held. The choreography team of 2003 led by Ashish George won many prizes. It got the first prize in UCMS and LHMC, and the second prize at MAMC and Hindu College.

2004

Deviating from previous trend to organise cultural activities outside the campus because of lack of auditorium, Ripple 2004 was organised with great fervour entirely in the college campus under the leadership of Ashish George, the Cultural Secretary, 2004. During Ripple 2004, 3 celebrities performed, namely, “Euphoria” led by Dr. Palash Sen an ex-Ucite, Shibani Kashap and Silk Route Group. The other regular features were choreography, fashion show, western dance and music plays, and literary events like debates, extempore speech, etc. The festival was well attended by the students of the college and many students from the other medical colleges and Delhi University colleges also participated. The college teams for the various events won many laurels in their own and festivals of other colleges like MAMC, LHMC, IGIT, DCE. The choreography team led by Manoj Midha gave an extraordinary performance on Exploitation of Women entitled “Pratishodh─the Revenge”. This team won first prize at UCMS, LHMC, MAMC and Medicomasti ’04, second prize at the Avalanche of UCMS and the third prize at the festival of Delhi College of Engineering. Similarly the college fashion show team led by Abhinav Akhilesh also won many prizes during 2004. It was judged the best team during Cobweb ’04¾the festival of LHMC¾ and got the second prize at Ripple ’04, MAMC, IGIT and Medicomasti ’04.

The students participate in a large number of various co-curricular activities ­cultural and sports. Sports and gym facilities available in the college are excellent.

Every year the college students organize a cultural festival, named Ripple including sports festival Arena. Students from other colleges participated also. This is the time when students enjoy most and many a hidden talents, other than academic, show up. Our students also go to other institutions and participate in various activities. The choreography ‘Aahm Brahmasmi’ coordinated by Mr. Akhil Garg and Ms. Vanita Venkateshwar of 5th semester won the first prize at Avalanche 2005, Medicomasti 2005, Cobweb (LHMC) and Ripple 2006 and the third prize at the festival of DCE. These are inter-college competitions.

Larzish the fashion show team coordinated by Mr. Ashwin of 5th semester won the first prize in Avalanche 2005, Medicomasti 2005, Ripple 2006 and the second prize at Cobweb 2005 and the festivals of DCE and IGIT. The dramatic group ‘Manchayan’ won the first prize at Avalanche 2005, Medicomasti 2005, Splash 2006, Ripple 2006, DCE and IGIT. The western dance team coordinated by Mr. Nishit Bhatnagar won the first prize at Avalanche 2005 and the second prize at Medicomasti 2005 and Ripple 2006.

2008

P. Ashwin Kumar and Karang Narang won the running trophy in the DMA Inter-college Debate for the Best Team and P. Ashwin Kumar won the Second Prize (Individual)

Mayank Singhal and Tapas Ranjan Behera of VII Semester participated and presented Posters in the Second National Medical Students Research Conference held at Pune, 20-24 Feb 2008.

LARJISH - UCMS Fashion show team won the first prize at Avalanche 2007 and begged second prize at the festival of LHMC.

RENAISSANCE– UCMS Western Dance team under the leadership of Pawan Dhawan won the first prize at Ripple 2008, UCMS and came second in festivals of LHMC, Delhi College of Engineering (out of 10 teams) and Medicomasti held in November 2007.

The college choreography team won the first prize during their festival-Ripple 2008 and the second prize at the festival of LHMC.
