 Dr Pragya Jain ( MD, DipRCPath) is
currently working as assistant professor in Department of Pathology.
She has done MBBS (2006-2010) from Lady Hardinge
Medical college, New Delhi and MD (2013-2016) from University College
of Medical Sciences, Delhi. During her training period she is exposed
to all generalized and specialized reporting (GI/liver pathology, oncopathology, nephropathology,
nerve/muscle pathology, neuropathology, hematology and cytopathology).
She was first
runner up in Kusum Pandit
Award for Best Thesis : “Evaluation of C-MET gene expression
in gastric adenocarcinoma” for the year 2015 among top 10
presenters held at UCMS in March 2016. Her key areas of interest are histopathology
and cytopathology. She has many publications in indexed journals as
first author to her credit and actively participated in many regional/
national/ international conferences. She has been research oriented
since the very beginning of her carrier and conducted short-term
studentship under ICMR during her MBBS which are published in
international journals. Her passion for teaching and research drives
the desire to contribute to this prestigious institute.
