currently working as a Professor and Head, in the department of
Ophthalmology, University College of Medical Sciences. She has done her
graduation from MAMC and Post Graduation in
Ophthalmology from LHMC. She has over 35-years of post MD experience
and has been a teaching faculty for more than 30 years and a
recognized supervisor for MD and PhD. She is also the head of the
department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of
Delhi from 2008-2011 and 2019-2022 and also the Dean of Medical
Faculty, Delhi University from 2010 to 2011. Her chief areas of
interest include Tropical Diseases like Leprosy and Tuberculosis,
Glaucoma, Lacrimal surgeries and neuro-Ophthalmology. She has published several
research articles in national and international journals and book
chapters. She has been a faculty for both
state and national Ophthalmology conferences and a Technical
Expert for Selection and Reviewing of Projects of Ophthalmology in ICMR.
Presently she is a member of
Medical Education Unit of the college since 2018, member of
Ophthalmic instruments and appliance committee, BIS and member of
expert committee of CDSCO
since2020.
