 Dr. N.K. Aggarwal (M.B.B.S, M.D., MIAFM, MNAMS, WHO
FELLOW, FIAMLE, FIAFM and FICFMT) is
Director Professor and Head in Department of Forensic
Medicine and Toxicology at University College of Medical Sciences&
GTB Hospital, Delhi. Having done
his Graduation and Post Graduation from UCMS itself, he joined the
Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology where he has been
teaching students since 1982. He
is the Head of the
department since 2001. He
has also been awarded the fellowship of World Health Organization.
He has delivered many
guest lectures for various organizations and Coferences including Delhi
Police, IAFM, ICFMT, IAMLE and DPS and presented papers at various
international and national level conferences in India and abroad. He
had delivered guest lectures at Vancouveour in Canada and Tehran in
Iran in the conferences related Forensic Medicine. His articles and
research papers have been published in both Indian and international
journals. He has written a book also and chapters in the books. He is a
life member of various academic bodies like IAFM, ICFMT, IAMLE and DPS.
He has been awarded fellowship by IAMLE and ICFMT. He had also
delivered Dr B B L Agarwal oration in the conference of ICFMT.
Seeing his vast experience
and dedicated services to society and humanity, he was awarded VISHISHTH CHIKITSA RATAN AWARD by
Sh. J.P.Naddajihonorable minister of health and family welfare and Dr
Mahesh Sharma ji, honorable minister of culture and civil aviation on
Doctor’s day in July 2018.
He was awarded DMA EXCELLENCE AWARD on the
occasion of Foundation Day Celebrations during August 2020, to
acknowledge and appreciate his contributions to the Medical fraternity
and towards the cause of humanity.
He has also been the part
debate/discussion/ expert advice for National channels like India
Today, Republic TV and News Nation
With his vast teaching experience of
over 38 years at both UG and PG level, he is the examiner and paper
setter for more than 30 universities in India and abroad. In addition
to his academic responsibilities, he is subject expert for selection
committees for faculty posts in various colleges, universities and
public service commissions. He
is also an examiner for DNB examination. He is also associated with Medical
Council of India as an inspector/assessor. He is also an expert for
National Human Rights Commission, CBI, Delhi Government and other
agencies.
