Dr Somdatta
Patra MD is a Professor of Community Medicine at UCMS and GTB Hospital,
Delhi. Completed MBBS from NRS Medical College, West Bengal and MD from
AIIMS, New Delhi. Worked as Senior Research Officer, Epidemiology in
LRS Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, New Delhi.
Working as a faculty in UCMS from 2010 onwards.
Dr Somdatta
is engaged in teaching of medical undergraduates and post graduate
students. She has participated in conducting community based
epidemiological studies and as a member Medical Education Unit has
contributed in developing resource material for online teaching
learning activities for the institute.
Her areas of interest are
Primary health care, Cancer, Elderly, Tuberculosis, Medical Education
and Nutrition. Published papers in various national and international
journals.
